Dr. Inta Summers, DDS

Dr. Inta Summers’ gentle approach and excellent skills will make your dental experience more comfortable than you would think possible. In addition to adults, she forms a special bond with children and teens, focusing on motivation and cavity prevention. Dr. Summers and her father Dr. Svans have been practicing together in Kentfield since 1999.
Dr. Summers grew up in Marin County, attended Marin Catholic High School, UC Berkeley and University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco. She is married with three wonderful children and enjoys soccer, cooking, and photography.

Dr. Valdis Svans, DDS

Dr. Svans was born in Latvia and grew up in Brazil. In 1960 he came to the United States and has been living in Marin for almost 40 years. He graduated at the top of his class at the University of California at San Francisco Dental School in 1968. That same October he opened his first practice in San Francisco. He became a member of the faculty at UCSF Dental School, where he taught prosthetics and received additional postgraduate training.
Dr. Svans is a pioneer in Cosmetic Dentistry, and one of the earliest advocates of the use of porcelain veneers and dental implants in cosmetic makeovers and full mouth reconstructions.
